This page is for questions, comments, answers and ideas about developing this wiki.
It doesn't have to be neat, but once questions are resolved or new ideas have become part of the wiki, please tidy up and/or delete old notes that have been saved here.
Also, be aware that - like all the pages of this wiki - what you write here is publicly accessible. Anyone with access to the Web can view what you write here.
Indira, should the copyright equalirights is currently using be added to the wiki? Or does that assume too much about the intentions of ALL potential contributors? If not the current one from the website, is there another type of copyright that is a better fit?

The Plugin for videos worked perfectly here, even with a file of around 15 MB. It took a few minutes to upload, but no problems. This seems like a simpler option for Users to add multimedia content to the wiki directly from their computer.
Using the plugin avoids the step of uploading to a video sharing site like Blip.TV or YouTube. It remains to be seen, however, if there is a difference at the Viewer end of the experience. How do bandwidth differences play into it? Would a 15 MB video file load so smoothly in a office setting with slower Internet service? Does a wiki page with a Blip.TV video link load more quickly than a wiki page with a video plugin? Considering that many Users of this wiki are based in the South, perhaps the simplicity of the plugin option is misleading.
This issue should be tested out with the assistance of practitions in the South.

In order to have the option of making some pages visible only to administrators (or creating a customized setting), an upgrade of service is required. In the meantime, I've put a short intro above about this page's purpose, as well as a warning that it is not private.
Idea to start a blog on learning to use a wiki - a forum for questions, advice, sharing, new ideas. Over the next couple weeks, we could include some first posts from equalinrights' staff about their own experience getting used to the wiki. Also, it is possible to make an RSS "feed" from a blog and embed it in the wiki, so any new posts are immediately visible!
The BVLF wiki has a map of partner locations. Very neat! Cornelieke, you mentioned that Miriam is working on a kind of map of the Network of Practitioners. We could plan on sharing it on the wiki.
We need to establish that we have permission to link it to our wiki or website for that matter. The website's terms of use allow personal/individual use but not commercial use ...how that reflects on Eir's status as a charity has to be investigated.
