Experiences using online tools

The blog icollaborate.blogspot.com describes hands-on experiences using online tools by a diverse group of Dutch NGOs working in the development sector and with a shared interest in e-collaboration.

ItrainOnline is a joint initiative of 8 organisations with experience in computer and Internet training in the Global South. The initiative connects people and know-how with the needs of ICT learners and trainers. The website - available in English, French and Spanish - includes a section on “Collaborative Workspace Tools”. Some resources are available in other languages as well. To join the itrainers community, go to: www.dgroups.org/groups/itrainers.

Examples of wikis

The “ComPart” learning and sharing space - created by ICCO to facilitate its transformation to a decentralised network organisation - is an interesting example of a PBwiki with other tools embedded.

The Bernand van Leer Foundation has both a public website and a semi-public wiki, the latter established as a learning space for the organisation's employees and made up of collaborative content created by staff. Explore how the two online spaces relate to one another.
